Solutions We Seek

Encourage the Eritrean government to:

(1) Democratize, humanize, and abide by the rule of law.

(2) Refrain from surveilling, harassing, imprisoning, torturing and killing Eritrean citizens on political grounds or for political purposes.

(3) End the slave-like, long-term military service for conscripts.

(4) Allow free and safe emigration.

(5) Refrain from harassing, intimidating and extorting Eritrean refugees and asylum seekers in developed countries.

(6) Refrain from killing and kidnapping Eritrean refugees and asylum seekers in nearby African countries, and from destroying refugee camps there.

(7) Refrain from committing other mass atrocities against civilians in nearby African countries.
