Solutions We Seek

Encourage governmental authorities worldwide to:

(1) Treat Eritrean refugees and asylum seekers humanely, pursuant to international law, and with awareness of the life-threatening conditions from which they fled; grant asylum or other protection when appropriate under international law.

(2) Empower and encourage local NGOs to provide legal and social assistance to the refugees and asylum seekers.

(3) Press the United Nations and other international bodies to hold the Eritrean regime accountable for its human rights violations, both within Eritrea and in other countries.
